Paul has worked in education for over 30 years planning, developing and running countless school excursions, activities and international programs. Paul got into education and risk management because he saw how much of a positive impact these programs had on students. Paul loves to help others build great programs so they too can provide their students with some of the most memorable experiences they will ever have and help them to learn and grow. Paul knows how important the management of risk is to the running of great programs and has served as a risk management consultant for large public and private schools as well as universities. Paul has worked in numerous countries as both a field instructor, guide, program administrator and basecamp director and has been working specifically with a range of education programs in the US and internationally for the last 15 years. David Gregory

David knows how important it is for you to provide great opportunities for your students so they develop and grow in this rapidly changing world. With the increased demands on teachers to run programs on top of running classes and be able to have the time to understands and manage risk, he knows how frustrating risk management can be for teachers. David has developed and run residential outdoor programs for some of the largest private schools in Australia and has trained staff, build effective risk management systems and consulted on operational and risk management practices. David’s work has been strongly influenced by the need to provide great educational opportunities for students to grow personally and academically through experiential education as well as ensure risks are minimised and well managed. "It's not about the paperwork, it's about helping you really understand how to effectively identify and manage risk. Rae Anglen is an Outdoor Educator with a passion for building effective and wholehearted leaders. Leaning on her progressive multi-industry management experience, whether that’s managing trail crews deep in the wilderness, guiding and instructing outdoor excursions, or building new systems of operation for multi-million dollar delivery service companies, Rae understands that the foundation of risk management begins with our ability to understand ourselves and others. Rae is also Xcursion's DEI leader as we continue to build and support a culture of diversity and inclusion in everything we do. Located in Gunnison, Colorado, on any given day you may find Rae white-water rafting, backpacking, ice climbing, Nordic skiing, fly fishing, or chasing sunsets. |
SE Asia
Allan brings over forty years of experience in Outdoor Education and Adventure Tourism in Australia and SE Asia. Allan directed operations at Outward Bound Australia and established Outward Bound Brunei Darussalam. He operated an adventure travel business, serving education, travel agent and private clients from SE Asia, Europe and Australia. Allan has investigated incidents, accidents, equipment, and standards to enhance safety while retaining programme goals. He’s been instrumental in establishing operating procedures, safety systems and safety equipment standards on land and water. It's this hands-on experience which Allan brings to the development of skills, knowledge, and awareness during Xcursion’s training and consulting projects. Based in Brunei Darussalam, he’s conveniently accessible to Xcursion’s clients in SE Asia. |
